Privacy & data

Loopstead is designed to keep patient data in Canada.

Who sees what

The patient’s physician
Sees the record and what the patient adds. Signs the care plan and publishes clinic test results.
Practice nurses on the care team
See the same record and help prepare it. A physician signs, approves and publishes.
The patient
Sees a plan or target only after a physician approves it, and clinic test results after the physician publishes them.
Family members the patient shares with
See a weekly summary and the words of any goals the patient picks. Readings, test results, health history and notes stay private.
A dietitian the patient shares with
Sees the food goal, weight and activity only. Can add a note to the record.

What Loopstead connects to

Loopstead runs in a web browser beside your EMR. It has no advertising.

Links in the app open other websites. Loopstead sends them nothing about the patient. “Read my plan aloud” uses a voice on the patient’s own device.

What patients choose

The patient can stop sharing with a family member at any time, and that person’s view closes at once. Each change to family sharing appears in the patient’s sharing history.

Patients can also stop adding readings at any time.

A patient can suggest changes to the health conditions on their record. The physician accepts or declines each one and gives a reason.

Sharing choices for one family member in a fictional patient’s app. Share a weekly summary is ticked. The summary says how the plan is going and how many goals were marked done. Under “Also show Family member these goals (optional)”, Movement and Water are ticked, and Nutrition, Sleep and Breathe are not.
